Lady Bird Johnson promoted and supported beautification of United States highways and cities and relentlessly defended natural resources and worked for the conservation of these resources as the First Lady. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, was founded in 1982 by Lady Bird Johnson and actress Helen Hayes. The Wildflower Center has a wonderful and giving community of volunteers that support the Wildflower Center with their wealth of botanical knowledge. My mother may be spending her winters in New Zealand, but she is able to volunteer her writing skills and contribute to the Mr. Smarty Plants program. Printbrands™ printed new shirts for the program last week.

Texas Parks and Wildlife, Coastal Fisheries Division had Printbrands™ print a 4 color process (4CP) design that the Coastal Expo program needed. The design was inspired by the program intern, Shannon Richards. Daniel Moore, Printbrands™ Operations Coordinator, worked with Shannon to create the layout that Shannon envisioned. Printbrands™ co-owner, Joseph Piedra brought the complex design to life. Joseph is a craftsman and master of process screen printing.

Watch out for the birds while driving through West Lake on Bee Cave Road. It’s time for the annual flocking of the Texas A&M Horticultural Sciences Building in College Station, TX. Pat Swanson is the marketing genius owner of Pot & Plants at 5902 Bee Cave Road in Austin, Texas. Tucked in the hillside along 360 and Bee Cave, lies the Austin landmark nursery.
Pots and Plants is a large nursery that is a household horticulturalist’s favorite with a commanding selection of plants and gardening gear, crafts, cards, annuals, shrubs, Texas natives, amazing pottery and even light fixtures. The plants are always healthy, thanks to Austin, and the rest of the staff at Pots & Plants.
I have known Pat Swanson for several years, but I have never been asked to do any of the Pots & Plants screen printing, but Pat contacted us last week asking Printbrands to print of the annual Texas A&M Horticultural Sciences flocking shirts. I was flattered to have him ask.
Up next for Pots & Plants? Check out the farmers market that opens March 4th. It will be open every Thursday. Printbrands will be manufacturing some of the custom promotions for the newest Pots & Plants service. Stay tuned.
