Printbrands was founded in 2009 with the goal to provide screen printing, embroidery and custom apparel services from suppliers that produce socially and ecologically conscious fashion. At Printbrands? we take ethical trade very seriously. We believe that high quality and reasonably priced custom apparel products can be procured from suppliers that fully embrace ethical trade.

In order to create your custom screen printing or embroidery project, Printbrands assures that all products chosen for customization are manufactured by companies that have Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production (WRAP) certifications or have audit systems in place to satisfy the guidelines of WRAP. This assures that the apparel we use is manufactured so that labor laws, prohibition of forced or child labor, prison labor, workplace harassment, lawful compensation, discrimination, health & safety, freedom of association and collective bargaining, environment, customs, and security issues are considered when your apparel is manufactured. Our ecologically conscious products are produced in a fashion that considers renewable materials, organically produced fibers and environmentally considerate dyes as well.

Ownership

J Noel Kvale, Co-Owner

J has worked in the screen printing and promotions industry since 2005 when he started in operations for a friendʼs large Austin based screen printing business. In 2006, Jʼs entrepreneurial desires brought the formation of Pickle Jar Productions. PJP was an ad specialties, apparel and marketing business that started off as a home based business. Pickle Jar quickly expanded. In early 2008, J started to the planning stages of expanding Pickle Jar into a more vertically integrated business, by producing custom apparel as a printing enterprise.

Prior to the screen printing and promotions industry, J spent a decade working in the medical devices and transplant medicine industries. J has been a rower since his youth and coached in the high school rowing program at Austin Rowing Club for 6 years.

Joseph Piedra, Co-Owner

Joseph has over 21 years of screen printing experience. He was introduced to the business when he was 14 and spent his summers and time off from school working and learning about the screen printing industry. His familyʼs ties to the industry date back 30 years, and Josephʼs career evolved through that connection. Now 21 years later, his knowledge base and a love for the trade has made him an expert in his field and brought a dream of running his own company to light. Joseph created All-Star Sportswear in 2004. After 4 years, he felt it was time to expand upon his vision and began a collaborative venture with Printbrands.

Josephʼs experience includes licensed printing with the NBA, NFL, NASCAR, Disney, NCAA, UT and Universal Studios. He has extensive knowledge in all types of specialty printing including water base, discharge, foil, 3-D, lenticular and all over printing. He won 1st place for the true process in Impressions Magazine under the Lone Star category. He has worked with numerous types of eco-friendly water based and organic ink systems. His specialties include discharge process printing, graphic design for teams, schools and custom apparel. Joseph has been a consultant in numerous screen-printing shops to assist them with gaining a better understanding of discharge process printing. He has also done merchandising and logistics with country and rock bands. Joseph is very devoted to his family.

When he isn't working, he's usually in the stands watching his children participate in sports or in the back yard grilling for family and friends.
